Central Coast Dental Care Case Study: Dental SEO Across Five Offices
Central Coast Dental Care is a dental group with five offices in Monterey County. Each office had its own page, but none of those pages told search engines which town it served or that it was a dental office. We audited the homepage and every location page, then fixed what we found.
Five offices, no clear signals
- None of the location pages had dentist structured data, so search engines couldn’t reliably tie each office to its town.
- No location page had a city focus set, and the titles and descriptions didn’t match from one office to the next. The Watsonville description cut off mid-sentence.
- The homepage structured data had 3 confirmed errors, plus a malformed block that shouldn’t have been there.
The work, in the order it happened
Audited the homepage and every location page
We started by writing down what was wrong on each page, so nothing got fixed on a hunch.
Marked up each office as a dentist
Every location page now has its own dentist structured data, so each office can be read as its own local business.
Rewrote each office’s title and description around its city
Every location page now names the town it serves and has a city focus set.
Fixed the homepage schema
The confirmed errors are gone, and the malformed block came out.

This was a focused SEO project, and these are the fixes we made and counted. They give each office a fair shot in local search. They don’t guarantee a ranking.
Every office has to stand on its own
If your practice has more than one office, one strong homepage isn’t enough. Search engines rank each location separately, so each location page needs its own town, its own title and its own structured data.
Structured data errors are also easy to miss. Nothing looks wrong to a visitor, but search engines may quietly ignore the markup. A short audit usually turns them up.
